A great way to teach your kids about nutrition
Most kids don’t think about nutrition on a daily basis. They just want to eat when they are hungry. It’s really that simple, which makes it important to teach them about food in a way that will help them eat well. An easy way to teach your kids about nutrition is to play Mission Nutrition.
This great game teaches kids to find the different foods in your home and tell which foods are the great ones, so that they start to understand the difference between what they should and shouldn’t eat.
Here's how you play:
Divide your food at home into good and bad. Use stickers to mark them. Now put them back in their normal place.
Challenge your kids to find the good and the bad. The stickers will help. But soon you can remove them. 1 good find = 1 point.
When your kids get it wrong, explain why. By explaining each bad food choice you are teaching them about balance. Balance is key to a nutritious diet.
Each time they find something give them a point. When they have enough points they earn a tasty, healthy snack. Your best bet here is play to about, 20 points.
